I believe that beepers should be banned in schools even though many students are against that. I think that they are to concered about the beepers so they don't even realize that the beepers make a lot of mess in schools. I believe that it would be just a great idea if those who have beepers will them keep at home. However, here are some ideas of those who think that beepers should not be banned in schools.

Some people think that beepers should not be banned in schools because having beepers you can know who is calling you and then you can call them back if you will be available. Some students carry beepers to schools because their parents want them to. Parents want to be able to reach their child in case of emergency. For example, if something really happens at home, a parent can call their child and if the child gets a message then he can call them back right away. Today beepers are mainstream. Students who carry beepers with them to school think that they will look more attractive and cool. Some of them even thinks that carrying beepers with them will make them feel that they are rich and maybe smart. Student think that beepers should not be banned in schools because today they can just set their pagers on vibration mode and it will avoid classroom interruption. There are many students who think that they don't have to carry with them any watches because beepers are like watches. They also look nice and cute. It is like that little game only you don't play with it.

Although people think that it is better to have beepers at school, I think that it is a very bad idea and I think that beepers should be banned in schools. Banning beepers in schools can make schools safer by reducing the drugs and gang problems. For example, those students that have beepers at school also have many cuttings and absences. They have some kind of gang and they all send to each other some kind of messages that they all meet at the same time and same place. I consider that banning beepers can make parents stop worrying about their children using drugs or cutting school or being absent. If parents need to reach their children in the emergency, they can call always the school office. That way the teachers can know that the student was excused from the school right away. Parents also can be able to talk to the teachers and ask any the questions if necessary. Therefore, I think that students should not carry any of electronic games to schools because they will not pay any attention to lessons. For example, if the class will take a test and somebody's beeper beeps, the whole class will be distracted from concentrating on the test. It will cause them to forget about what they have been thinking about. Some students are saying that now beepers don't make any noise, and they don't interrupt the classroom because they can set their pagers on vibrating mode. However, carrying beepers to school can cause robbery. Many students are rubbed because they carry very valuable things with them which not everyone can afford because not everyone is rich like others. Beepers cost a lot of money and carrying them to school you could not have it just like this. I understand that it is not their fault that they got robbed, but that might be also a very good lesson for those who don't listen, and for those who think that they are the smartest.

Therefore, I think that beepers should be banned in schools even though they are mainstream now. I don't have a beeper, but I think that if I would I would keep it at home because I would be scared of being robbed. The beepers are very expensive and I guess that no one would want to pay their money for nothing. I also think that having a beeper at school is too much for me to deal with because every time that I would get a call I will be curious thinking about who that might be. I also would stop paying attention to what is going on in the class and that will cause to lower my grade because I wouldn't know what to do and on exams I would fail. This is why I think that beepers should be banned in schools. If any of the students have beepers I am telling you to keep it at home because you don't know what will happen to it.
